Thermal-Aire Cart
The Dinex Thermal-Aire cook-chill retherm cart has no "on-board" technology making it lighter, more compact and easier to maneuver. No more heavyweight carts that are difficult to push! It improves efficiency of meal delivery from production and assembly to patient. Thermal-Aire carts are constructed with two compartments separated by a specially designed insulated middle wall. This allows heating on one side and maintains refrigeration for the cold foods.
These compartments are designed to receive trays with items that will be served cold on one side, and items that will be served hot on the other. Slots in the center panel allow the trays to slide in and provide an efficient seal between the hot and cold compartments. For simultaneous cold holding and rethermalization, the transport cart is connected to the Thermal-Aire Docking Station. The dock integrates all electrical and mechanical components and delivers appropriate temperatures to each compartment.
Thermal-Aire Docking Station
The Thermal-Aire Retherm Docking Terminal features state-of-the-art electrical and mechanical technology for cold holding and rethermalization of hot items. Installed in either the pantry, on the patient floors or at a central rethermalization location, the Thermal-Aire dock is designed with the latest cold and hot air technology, resulting in superior rethermalization performance and food safety. Before rethermalization, meal trays are held at the proper chilled temperatures. During the rethermalization cycle, refrigeration continues on the cold section of the tray while the hot section thermalizes at the programmed temperatures for the programmed times.
Thermal-Aire Shuttle & Insert
Simplify meal delivery and service at remote sites using the Thermal-Aire Cassette/Shuttle System. Patient meal trays are placed in the Transfer Cassette for delivery to the satellite or remote site. At the service site, the cassette is then inserted into the Shuttle Cart, ready for rethermalization. The Thermal-Aire Shuttle Cart has the same quality construction as the Thermal-Aire Cart. The Thermal-Aire Cart is designed to accept trays, while the Shuttle Cart is configured with channels to accept the Transfer Cassette for smooth loading of the trays into the cart. The Shuttle Cart is fitted with four 8" (16cm) casters (2 fixed and 2 swivel).
